Waypoint management is important since they are the basis of GPS navigation.

GPS Made Easy explains the most used methods for making waypoints accessible.


All GPS receivers enter waypoint names and other types of data one button press at a time.

GPS Made Easy provides a quick tutorial on data entry.

Waypoint Page

The screens below shown how to delete a waypoint from the receiver's memory.

Waypoints are listed by groups. The first group holds all waypoints whose names start with 0 through 9. The next group has waypoints that start with A through D, etc.

Select the A-D group and the waypoint 'BOAT' that was entered earlier appears. It is highlighted for selecting.

Select Boat by pressing enter and the Review Waypoint page appears. It shows the waypoint symbol, name and at the bottom its coordinate.

From this screen the user can either delete, map (have it appear on the map), goto (navigate to the waypoint, or return to the previous screen (OK).

Delete is highlighted.
